There’s a man that I know, the Bible tells me so:
A companion who forsook apostle Paul;
Demas was his name who loved this present world
And forsook Jesus Christ and His Word.
II.
There’s a need that I know, oh I want to tell you so:
Preaching Jesus Christ to every soul;
Few singers in the choir, few servants set on fire
But serving Jesus, a wonderful desire!
But where are His children
Who used to shout Amen?
How could Christ be forgotten
Their lives were all forgiven?
Why would they turn back to the world again?
Chorus:
Where are the people who used to serve the King;
Where are the people who used to sing,
Who used to reach the perishing,
Who used to come and worship the King,
Who used to give their tithes and offering?
Why forsake the Lord when He can give you joy?
Please don’t follow them, don’t live in the world again.
III.
There’s always a choice to make a joyful noise;
To sing for Jesus with our lovely voice;
The Lord commands us to tell the good news of the Gospel
To the people who will go to the burning hell;
But will you serve the Lord
And obey Him and His Word?
There is joy in serving Him,
There is peace in loving him
Please don’t turn back to the world again
