Description

THE CURSE OF MANKIND
Words and Music by Jared L. Batac

I.
On the sixth day of God’s Creation, He formed Man.
Then He took one of man’s ribs to form Woman.
But when Adam and Eve committed sin in the garden of Eden,
The curse of mankind God placed upon them and upon their children:

Chorus:
Every man shall surely die, and no man can prevent
For the wages of sin is death, the eternal punishment;
But God so loved the world, and His love is sufficient,
To pay the wages of sin, Jesus He sent.

II.
In the night of Jesus’ birth, our Saviour has come to earth
In a lowly manger, through the virgin birth.
He was born to die for us to pay the wages of sin;
He took away the sins of the world, salvation to begin.

III.
In the night of Jesus’ death, His pain had come to end;
Buried in a borrowed tomb, but He rose again.
Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God was offered on the mercy seat;
Therefore by His precious and atoning blood, salvation is complete!

Coda
Our sins to be forgiven,
His life He has given;
Now we have redemption and salvation!
