To Win God’s Smile

I.

When I was in sin, so great is God’s wrath,

But Jesus led me to the right path.
Condemned to hell’s flame but Jesus saved me,
And He welcomed me to God’s family.

II.
I know I am His and I know He is mine;
I know I’m His branch and Christ is my vine.
In Him and His Word, I will abide
For I know that my life He will surely guide.

III.
To do my own will is nowhere to go;
God’s will in my life, oh I want to know;
I will say “yes, Lord” to His highest call;
For to win God’s smile is my greatest goal.

Now I’m God’s child, I want to win His smile
And be led by Most High and not the devil’s wile;
I offer my life for Him to control;
