Strengthen Our Hands, Rise Up and Build

The enemy is coming, oh they are very near;
The terror of their marching, oh their roar I can hear;
Why do linger ye and labour not while others do?
Carest thou not if our wicked enemy is through?

Oh let our walls befall not all broken nor torn down
But build them up together, strengthen all around;
Build more walls of faith, of pray’r, and of the Holy Word;
Be strong and of good courage though the battle cry is heard!

Behold the Mighty Warrior who conquered death and grave
To break the chains and free us, to seek and to save;
Trust not in our strength but cry upon His holy name
For His pow’r is ever great and surely victory we claim!

Arise and deeply hearken the call of Mighty King;
All doubts and fears and cold hearts, oh we must never bring;
Fight now for the cause of Christ and reach out to the lost
And stand up for the truth and defend it at all cost!

Build more walls around us on the Rock, our sure foundation,
